By late spring or early summer, the first homes in the Magnolia Lakes subdivision off Burbank Drive should be available to buyers, says developer Jeff Purpera Jr. of DSLD Homes. On Friday, DSLD—which also constructed the streets and infrastructure in the subdivision—closed a $2.4 million deal with Dantin Bruce Companies for 50 lots in Magnolia Lakes. The subdivision is located about one block west of Staring Lane, on the north side of Burbank. “We just developed the first stage: 50 lots,” says developer Brian Dantin of the 187-lot neighborhood. “We’re developing 50 lots every six months.” Purpera says home prices in Magnolia Lakes will range between $180,000 and just over $200,000. “We’re kind of at the mercy of the weather right now,” Purpera says, regarding the progress of construction. “You can’t pour concrete in the rain, and you can’t pour concrete in the mud.” Purpera says if work goes according to plan, DSLD will build homes on the remaining lots as well. —Adam Pearson
