Johnny DeAngelo, who owns New York Pizza Company, is set to open a second restaurant on Coursey Boulevard. Johnny D’s Italian Restaurant, at the corner of Coursey and Millwood Drive, is set to open in April. DeAngelo says his current Jones Creek location is hampered by a lack of parking and will be affected by plans to four-lane the road. “This will allow us to come out and showcase what we can do,” says DeAngelo, who has been on Jones Creek for about two years. “We want to move into catering and full delivery service.” Johnny D’s will offer lunch specials, like $4.99 Italian po-boys and a buffet, with pasta, pizza, salad and dessert. “In these economic times, you have to do these kinds of specials,” DeAngelo says. Johnny D’s will have about 20 to 25 employees and will be open seven days a week.—Timothy Boone
