Starting early next year, CVS is launching a next-day delivery service of prescription medication, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The move comes as the drugstore giant faces declining retail sales and potential competition from Amazon.com. CVS says it will offer next-day service nationwide and same-day delivery in some urban areas.

Prescriptions will be shipped from pharmacy locations, and a selection of store products also will be eligible for delivery. Helena Foulkes, who runs the company’s retail business, didn’t specify how much the service would cost customers.
