Elephants, magicians and more will make a thrilling sight on the floor of the River Center this week, when the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus comes to town. The ringmaster will lead you and your children on a magical journey, with breathtaking stunts like trick riding and death-defying high-wire acts. You can catch one of many performances today through Sunday, with prices ranging from $16.50 to $39.50 at brrivercenter.com. … The organizers of the Baton Rouge Halloween Parade will hold their first Black and Orange Social Friday from 7-11 p.m. at the Greenoaks Reception Center on Florida Boulevard. Along with an open bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres, there will be a performance by Labyrinth of Love, a new contemporary dance show coming to Baton Rouge. Admission is $10 for members of the 10/31 Consortium and $15 for guests. Guests are asked to wear black and orange and bring a nonperishable item for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in order to be entered into a drawing for a door prize. The band was scheduled to play July 3 at the Spanish Moon, but the concert was postponed to Saturday so it could take a trip to London.
