New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will be coming to Baton Rouge Sept. 29 for a fundraiser to help elect Republicans to the Louisiana Legislature and BESE. Christie, who has become a popular figure nationally among Republicans for his blunt, no-nonsense style, will appear with Gov. Bobby Jindal at the fundraiser, which will be held in a private home. Jindal campaigned for Christie in 2009, when he was running for governor of New Jersey, and the two men have remained friends. Tickets for the fundraiser, which will benefit the Louisiana Republican Party, are priced from $10,000 to $100,000.
