HED: Cool workspaces
Work environment may not figure into the selection of Best Places to Work in Baton Rouge, but some of our honorees have offices worth noting.
Envoc
No. 1/Small & medium-sized companies
Envoc has nearly doubled its office space by expanding into a 4,000-square-foot location above VooDoo BBQ in Perkins Rowe. Employees now have adjustable standing desks and areas to think creatively. The space resembles Envoc’s smaller office in Hammond, where the walls are painted bright green.
H&E Equipment
No. 20/Large companies
This 40,000-squre-foot building completed in 2012 was created with openness and natural light in mind: Both the core and the exterior walls are glass. The employee café doubles as an area for large gatherings.
