Business Report and the Louisiana Technology Council will present the Innovation Breakfast as one of the live events in conjunction with the 2011 BizTech Expo. The featured speaker at the Oct. 5 event will be Josh Linkner. Linkner is the New York Times best-selling author of Disciplined Dreaming: A Proven System to Drive Breakthrough Creativity, which was named one of the top 10 business books of 2011. Linkner is the CEO and managing partner of Detroit Venture Partners. Together with his business partners—former pro basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Dan Gilbert, who owns the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers—Linkner is actively rebuilding urban areas through technology and entrepreneurship. He is also adjunct professor of applied creativity at the University of Michigan. Linkner is the founder, chairman and former CEO of ePrize, the largest interactive promotion agency in the world, providing digital marketing services for 74 of the top 100 brands.
