A workers’ compensation attorney and his wife paid $325,000 for a 6,800-square-foot building located at 9375 Florida Blvd. and plan to open a third office for his law practice there.

Attorney C. Ray Murry and his wife Lois Murry, a real estate agent and administrator in his office, purchased the building from Mid South Transportation.

Donato Mucciacciaro, Troy Burton and Joey Canella of SVN | Graham, Langlois & Legendre, represented the seller. The deal closed Sept. 30.

Lois Murry, who represented her husband and herself in the deal, says her husband mostly practices state workers’ compensation law. He has law offices in Slidell and Lafayette, so they needed an office midway between those two points.

The goal is to open the office on Dec. 1, she says.

“With construction being what it is, it might be a little bit longer,” Lois Murry says.

The property has a total area of 35,000 square feet. It sold for $47.79 per square foot.
