Albemarle Corporation will start offering a new catalyst through an alliance with a Honeywell firm that allows refineries to produce cleaner diesel fuel without making expensive upgrades. The Nebula catalyst was co-developed by Albemarle and ExxonMobil. The compound allows refineries to produce more ultra-low sulfur diesel without revamping the plant. Nebula will be sold through the Hydroprocessing Alliance, the company’s strategic alliance with UOP, a Honeywell company.
