Four Star Industrial Contractors will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Trade Construction Company of Zachary, effective Jan. 1. The companies have maintained ties through the pipe fabrication industry for years, says a joint letter announcing the deal from Trade President Brennan Easley and Four Star President Randy Landry. “We have always shared similar cultures, many of the same philosophies and, most importantly, the same regard toward quality, safety and the plain and simple adage of just, ‘doing things right,’” the letter reads. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The companies say all existing contracts and agreements customers have with Four Star will be completed under the existing Four Star name. Two of the three Four Star owners—Landry and Mike Hicks—will begin working for the combined company in their current capacities, and Steve Whitfield will retire. “We are confident that the acquisition will only increase our effectiveness and add value to those with whom we do business,” the announcement says, adding capacity will be increased and delivery times will be improved by the expanded resources of the combined company.
