The Voice of Pentecost Inc. has sold its church at 10770 Greenwell Springs Road and plans to operate out of a former CVS Pharmacy building for about a year while a new eight-acre campus is finished on Frenchtown Road, according to NAI/Latter & Blum agent Evan Scroggs, who represented the church in the transaction.

One Way Deliverance Ministries bought the property—which includes a 12,500-square-foot assembly center and 8,500-square-foot gym over two acres of land—for $1.27 million, according to records filed with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court this afternoon.

Agent Alissa Phillips with Alissa Phillips Realty represented One Way Deliverance Ministries in the deal.

Another recent sale of note is a 3,000-square-foot office building in the Bluebonnet Palms Office Park that was built for an oral surgeon’s practice, but has remained vacant because the Texas surgeon decided not to move to Louisiana. Cangelosi Family Dentistry LLC, managed by Richard Cangelosi, bought the office for $650,000. Chris Pike, an agent with Mike Falgoust & Associates who represents the office park, says Cangelosi will move his practice to the space at the end of January following slight renovations.

“We don’t have anything available, but I have a long list of people that wanted a space. I just called the first dentist’s office on the list, and they wanted it,” Pike says of the sale.

Also, in a deal that closed earlier this week, Wal-Mart Real Estate Business Trust bought two tracts of land, including a closed Dingo’s restaurant, on Coursey Boulevard near Sherwood Forest Boulevard for $2.13 million. The larger tract, which measures almost five acres, is vacant. Real estate agent John Buzzell with NAI/Latter & Blum represented the seller, Six G’s LLC, managed by Gary Solomon. —Kelly Connelly
