Vivid Ink Graphics has sold its former headquarters building at 11710 Cloverland Court for $930,000 to the owners of a Prairieville-based company that makes portable LED signs.
According to records from the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office, Vivid Ink sold the roughly 10,000-square-foot building to Huy T. Tran and Sally Chen in a deal that closed Friday. Tran and Chen could not be reached for comment by this morning’s deadline, but according to the Louisiana Secretary of State, the pair own LED Inc. in Prairieville.
Vivid Ink owner Stephen St. Cyr says he is pleased with the price he got for the building, which he built eight years ago. Since then, his large-format sign and printing businesses have grown considerably. Late last year, the company relocated to its new 31,000-square-foot headquarters in the former Circuit City building at the intersection of Florida Boulevard and Airline Highway.
“We’ve kind of gone from being a shop to being a plant,” St. Cyr says.
Earlier this year, Vivid Ink acquired Acadian Signs, a 16-year-old family-owned business in Denham Springs. —Stephanie Riegel
