U.S. Sen. David Vitter is applauding Gov. Bobby Jindal’s decision to help fundraise for legislative elections this fall, and sent a $10,000 check to the effort. Vitter sent a letter to supporters today applauding Jindal’s pledge to fundraise through the state Republican Party to elect more conservative Republican members of the House and Senate. In the email, Vitter says he’s hopeful Jindal’s move “signals a bolder, more engaged Bobby already.” Vitter has had a similar fundraising effort in place since 2005. Along with the $10,000 check from his campaign fund to the state Republican Party, Vitter included a handwritten letter to Jindal congratulating him on his decision to help the GOP with legislative races and urging the governor to “Fight, lead, be bold!”
