Kathy Viator, who spent two years as COO of Earl K. Long Medical Center, has been named as administrator of the medical center. Viator was named to the post today, after serving as acting hospital administrator for nearly two years. She has 30 years’ experience in hospital management and health care. Viator earned a bachelor’s from Southeastern Louisiana and a master’s and a doctorate in nursing from LSU.
