After four rounds of interviews, the panel searching for a new University of New Orleans president has narrowed the field to two candidates: Peter J. Fos and Michael A. Wartell. The two men will interview with the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System in Baton Rouge on Friday. The board will then deliberate and publicly vote on a new president. UNO’s presidency has been open since September 2010. Fos is a professor and program director of health policy and systems management at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Wartell is in his 18th year as chancellor of Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, where he also serves as a professor of chemistry.
