A slab has been poured for a new Family Dollar store at 801 O’Neal Lane, and ground is set to be broken on another store at 12190 Plank Road, says Jonathan Lanza, vice president of Lanco Construction, the contractor on both projects. The O’Neal Lane store should be complete in the second week of January, and the Plank Road location should be complete in early March, Lanza says. Family Dollar spokesman Josh Braverman says the stores have a targeted 2012 opening, but no specific dates have been set. —Steve Sanoski
