Baton Rouge-based companies ITinspired and MESH are on Inc. magazine’s list of the Best Companies to Work for in 2018, which includes just 285 companies out of 1,800 nominated for the honor.
To compile the list, Inc. surveyed employees at each nominated businesses, asking them about trust in senior leadership, career development, change management and workplace benefits or perks.
Just three Louisiana companies are on the list. Along with IT services firm ITinspired and marketing firm MESH, New Orleans contracting firm Palmisano also made the list.
Companies that made it to the top of Inc.’s list have a lot in common, like paid maternity and paternity leave, profit sharing, flexible scheduling, company trips and perks such as help with transportation costs or dry cleaning.
Inc’s survey also found that smaller companies with fewer than 71 employees, companies in software or marketing, and companies in California had some of the highest rankings.
