Three of seven Treads & Care stores in the Capital Region are being rebranded as Skid Marks Tires & Auto Service, says owner Miles Holley. The renamed stores are located at 1015 West Lee Dr. (which was Winner’s Circle Car Care prior to its purchase by Holley in November) and 11209 Coursey Blvd. in Baton Rouge, as well as the Gonzales store. The name change comes after 30-plus years in business as Treads & Care. Holley says he decided to go with a new name and logo as the company begins a push for further expansion. “We have three stores now, but we see where we could grow to five to 10 locations over the next few years, so that’s what we’re positioning ourselves for,” he says. Holley says the rebranding effort has already begun but will take about two months to fully complete. Other members of the Holley family own four Treads & Care stores in the Capital Region that are not included in the rebrand, including two in Baton Rouge, one in Zachary and one in New Roads. Holley had announced a contest last fall to let customers select the new name, but he ultimately selected the new name with the help of family and friends, he says. —Steve Sanoski
