The Times-Picayune will no longer deliver to homes in the Baton Rouge area effective April 1, according to a letter sent to subscribers. The paper still will be available at retail outlets and vending machines. Subscription payments made directly to the Times-Picayune will be refunded within 21 days, while some subscribers will be contacted by their independent dealer regarding payment arrangements, the letter says. Philip Ehrhardt, the paper’s circulation director, had no comment on the announcement this morning. Advance Publications Inc. owns the newspaper.
