NTG, a local company that hosts computer servers, and AmeriVault, a Massachusetts firm that provides online data backup, have merged operations to form a new company, Venyu. The company allows businesses to have end-to-end data protection and disaster data recovery. The Baton Rouge and Massachusetts offices, which both have 40 employees, will remain open. Matt Wallace, director of marketing for Venyu, says the plan is to add five new workers in each location. “We think this will increase business for us,” he says. NTG and AmeriVault are both owned by PHNS of Dallas; Venyu will operate as an independent subsidiary.—Timothy Boone
