Perkins Road Parlour, a salon and tattoo shop located near the Perkins Road overpass, will be closing its doors at the end of September, one of its three co-owners confirmed today. Brent McCarron, who owns and operates the parlor along with Kenny Cox and Pat Bradham, says the business was “going to relocate, but it’s hard to put a tattoo shop in some places.” McCarron also says his upcoming move to New Orleans factored into the decision. The three owners have operated the two-year-old parlor for the past year. “It was fun; it was a good experience,” McCarron says. “I’m not mad.” —Ian McGibboney
