Developer Jim Tanner has sold a restaurant building at the Interstate 10-Essen Lane intersection. Tanner’s Country Club Development sold the building at One Calais Avenue for $625,000 in a deal that closed last week. A group called One Calais Place, based out of Denham Springs bought the building, which is currently occupied by Sakura Sushi & Hibachi, a Japanese restaurant that opened late last year. Tanner had been leasing the building, but in recent months, he’s gotten rid of a number of his holdings, including his share of Louisiana Aircraft, The Bluffs golf course in St. Francisville and some retail holdings on Jefferson Highway.—Timothy Boone
