Table Kitchen & Bar, the farm-to-table-style restaurant that opened in the Southdowns Shopping Center in April 2015, has closed its doors.

Donnie Jarreau, who owns the shopping center on Perkins Road, confirms the closure, which occurred on Wednesday.

Restaurant owners Scott and Michelle Wilson are currently deciding whether to try out a new concept in the space or simply vacate it, Jarreau says, adding they’ll make a decision within the next month. The Wilsons could not be reached for comment.

“If they decide to vacate we have a lot of interest,” Jarreau says. “We constantly have calls for availability.”

The restaurant had occupied a corner space with a patio in the shopping center, serving up southern American food with a rotating menu focused on local and seasonal ingredients. The space was previously home to Portico, which closed in December 2014.

In September, the owners of Baton Rouge’s three City Pork announced they will open a new restaurant concept in the shopping center. Southfin Southern Poké will open early this year in the space formerly occupied by Truly Free Bakery, which closed last April.
