An Indiana-based health care real estate investment company has purchased a surgical center on Old Hammond Highway, at the corner of W. Carriage House Drive, for $6.1 million in a sale that closed Wednesday.
CCI Baton Rouge LLC, whose sole officer is Cornerstone Companies Inc. President J. Taggart Birge, bought the Eye Care & Surgical Center from HSN Investments LLC. The officers of HSN Investments LLC are Dr. Henry Haley Jr., Dr. Jeffrey Singer and Dr. Scott Nelson, who are all doctors at Eye Care & Surgical Center.
The Eye Care & Surgical Center started in the early 1970s as an optometrist’s practice in a building less than 2,000 square feet, according to its website. The company expanded in the early 1980’s into a 20,076-square-foot health care center.
Cornerstone Companies Inc., established in 1985, manages more than 4.5 million square feet of medical office space in the Midwest, according to its website. The company has offices in Kentucky, Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana.
