Stirling Properties says it has taken a critical step in furthering its long-term strategic growth plan by finalizing an agreement today to acquire Shreveport-based Avant Properties. Avant Properties’ current personnel and portfolio will be integrated into Stirling’s operations. Stirling President/CEO Marty Mayer says, “Avant Properties’ excellent reputation and client-focused services are synergistic with our company and, just as important, their signature managed properties and local brokerage presence will strengthen our service offerings in northwest Louisiana.” Stirling has managed several shopping centers in the Shreveport/Bossier City region, including the Chase Tower, American Tower and Pierremont Mall. The combined portfolio of over 14 million square feet makes Stirling the largest management and brokerage firm in the Shreveport/Bossier City region. Avant founder and owner Keitha Avant Marcotte says the expanded resources afforded by the acquisition “will enable us to take our client services to a new level.” With offices throughout Louisiana—including several in the Capital Region—Stirling is headquartered in Covington.
