After serving as Kean Miller’s director of client services and chief marketing officer for the past 10 years, Steve Boutwell has been promoted to chief operating officer of the Baton Rouge-based law firm.
In his new role, Boutwell will oversee the firm’s five offices and 150 attorneys, providing support and counsel to management, attorneys and partners. He’ll work closely with Chief Financial Officer Alice Miller and service team members to develop and implement strategies for talent allocation and development, continuing legal education, marketing and business development, legal pricing, firm governance, and other areas.
A 1988 marketing and advertising graduate of LSU, Boutwell is a four time recipient of the national Legal Marketing Association awards, winning in 2002, 2008 and with the Kean Miller team in 2013 and 2015.
He was named one of the Marketers of the Year by the Sales and Marketing Executives of Greater Baton Rouge in 2010. Read more.
