Louisiana’s adoption of new energy codes for buildings could reduce energy use by 20% in new residential buildings and 32% in new commercial buildings, a new study indicates.  While that might not help builders who must adapt to the new codes, it suggests an upside for consumers who are likely to be paying higher costs
