Three of world’s best to play: Three of the top 10 players in the World Golf Rankings have committed to play in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, set for April 25 to May 1. Graeme McDowell, Steve Stricker and Luke Donald join a field that already includes defending Zurich champion Jason Bohn and four golfers who have won the event in the past decade: David Toms, Vijay Singh, Nick Watney and Jerry Kelly. The tournament, which will be played on the TPC Louisiana golf course, will be televised on the Golf Channel April 28 and April 29 and on CBS April 30 and May 1.

Everybody knows about LSU baseball, and I always wanted to play baseball and football in college.” He’s set to play in the outfield for the Tigers, who start their season at 7 p.m. Friday against Wake Forest. Ware is expected to get significant playing time his first year playing college baseball; LSU coach Paul Mainieri says he’s become one of the team’s consistent hitters. Read the full story here.
