First-timers:No one on the University of Kentucky’s current football roster has ever played a game at LSU’s Tiger Stadium, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports. “The coaches tell us it’s just crazy down there,” quarterback Morgan Newton told the newspaper. In an attempt to get their quarterback and team prepared for the legendary crowd noise inside Death Valley on Saturday, Kentucky coaches parked a utility vehicle behind Newton during Wednesday’s practice and blasted crowd noise from a speaker system strapped to the back of it. Love for Les: NFL owners and general managers have always been intrigued by Les Miles, says CBSSports.com’s NFL Inside reporter, Mike Freeman. But one perception about Miles always made them hesitant to approach: They thought he was a goofball. Street (il)legal: Retired American race car driver and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. was arrested on drunken driving and reckless driving charges in Albuquerque, N.M., this morning after allegedly drag racing another car in his Suburban at speeds eclipsing 100 mph, KRQE-TV reports. He was released from jail on his own recognizance.
