The Smith Creamery in Washington Parish was heavily damaged by an explosion early this morning. No one was injured in the blast, which was described as “massive,” according to WWL. Fire officials told the station they think the explosion was triggered by a propane or diesel tank. The incident is under investigation. Smith Creamery is known for its milk, butter and Creole cream cheese.
