Lots of folks like to enjoy a beer while they grill out. ShoppersChoice.com thinks they’d probably like to enjoy one while shopping for a grill, too.
The Baton Rouge-based online retailer, which specializes in outdoor kitchens and patio accessories, has filed a rezoning application with the Planning Commission that would allow it to serve beer at its showroom at 10920 Coursey Blvd.
“We would like to serve beer to our customers as they shop,” reads the application that the commission will take up at its Jan. 19 meeting.
The application was among more than a dozen filed before the deadline Thursday for requests to be taken up at the Jan. 19 meeting. As previously reported, other applications submitted include one from Bobbie Leblanc, who is looking to open a daiquiri shop and restaurant at 2979 Florida Blvd. A number of applications were also submitted for single and multifamily housing projects across Baton Rouge.
