A five-year contract The Shaw Group has to provide maintenance and modification services to a Texas nuclear power plant has been renewed. Shaw will continue to provide services to the South Texas Project Electric Generating Station near Bay City, Texas. The value of the contract renewal was not disclosed. Shaw has been handling maintenance at STP since 2004, recently handling the on-site decommission of reactor vessel heads. STP provides power to more than 2 million homes in Texas. Shaw currently handles maintenance at 41 of the 104 nuclear power units in the U.S.
