The Shaw Group’s decision to build a nuclear module manufacturing facility in Lake Charles and expand its Baton Rouge offices made Site Selection magazine’s list of the top 10 deals of 2008. This was the only Louisiana project to make the list. Shaw, which is developing the nuclear module facility, plans to spend $100 million on the Lake Charles plant and create 1,400 jobs. The company also pledged to add 1,500 new jobs out of the main office over a 10-year period and keep its corporate headquarters in Baton Rouge through 2023. To see the full list, click here.
