The Shaw Group and Albemarle, two of Baton Rouge’s biggest publicly traded companies, have renewed and expanded a maintenance contract. Terms of the three-year deal were not disclosed, but the agreement calls for Shaw to provide maintenance, engineering and labor services at Albemarle specialty chemical manufacturing facilities. The agreement covers plants in six states, including Louisiana, and adds an Albemarle facility in Michigan. Shaw has had an agreement with Albemarle since 2000; that contract was expanded in 2008 to cover plant engineering, construction and other services.
