NEW ORLEANS [AP] — A judge has set a Nov. 23 trial date for a lawsuit challenging a Louisiana school board’s policy of opening its meetings with a prayer.

U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman is scheduled to hear the case against the Tangipahoa Parish School Board without a jury.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana sued the school board on behalf of an unidentified couple who have had two children enrolled in the district.
