Former Gov. Buddy Roemer, now a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, is set to appear on The Colbert Report tonight. Stephen Colbert, who hosts the sharply satirical program, announced that Roemer would appear. Fellow GOP candidate Herman Cain had been slated to go on Colbert tonight but backed out due to a scheduling conflict. That led Colbert to joke about breaking up with Cain and saying that Roemer was “my guy now.” See the footage here. Colbert airs at 10:30 p.m. on Comedy Central.
