Roemer speaks at Tea Party rally in New Hampshire

Former Gov. Buddy Roemer was one of several potential Republican presidential candidates who spoke at a tax day Tea Party rally in the key early primary state of New Hampshire today. According to The Nashua Telegraph, Roemer says he stands alone in being the only candidate who isn’t taking money from special interests or campaign contributions of more than $100. “I am the only one running for president who challenges the special interests,” Roemer was quoted as saying. “The American Revolution was about a Tea Party, wasn’t it? I think it’s time for a second revolution.” Roemer spent the week traveling around New Hampshire in an RV, meeting with members of the media and Republican activists. In an e-mail sent to reporters, Roemer says his unconventional campaign is “starting to move the needle.” “Folks here are skeptical that this type of campaign can make it. But I believe Americans want leaders who represent THEIR interests, rather than the interests of multinational corporations,” Roemer says. For a look at his RV, click here.
