A ceremony will be held Wednesday morning to mark the completion of the Highland Road Green Light project. The project, which cost nearly $15 million, involved converting a two-lane section of Highland from Perkins Road to Airline Highway into a four-lane boulevard with a raised median. New bridge crossings at Ward’s Creek and Old Ward’s Creek and a new railway crossing near Perkins were also part of the work. This is the 17th Green Light project to be finished.
