Former Klu Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke is looking at making another presidential run, reports the online magazine The Daily Beast. Duke, a former member of the state House of Representatives, who made a runoff for the governor’s race in 1991, is launching a 25-state exploratory tour to gauge support. Duke ran for president in 1988 as a Democrat, then switched parties and ran as a Republican in 1992. There could be obstacles to Duke’s campaign: He pled guilty to defrauding supporters and cheating on his taxes in 2002 and served 15 months in federal prison. An Associated Press report at the time said the plea agreement disqualified Duke from running for office again.
