“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; Who heals all your diseases.” (Psalms 103:3) This is the second benefit of five that is mentioned in Psalms 103:1-5. Healing is a mysterious topic, as well as this promise, which is true. God is a healer! He still heals today, as He did while He was on earth. Every disease/sickness, we experience, God heals. Some diseases take longer to heal than others. Ultimately, God completely heals us; (if we are in Christ) by taking us to our true home, where there is no more disease and sickness. Then our healing is complete, eternally! Often, when God is healing us in a process of time, in that process, He is using the disease, to heal other things in us and around us; that is, if all involved come under the process. It divides the path, like a fork in the road. Either one becomes bitter or better through the process. I/You have seen God use a time of sickness to heal relationships that were broken; heal unbelief with faith; heal anxiety with peace; heal bitterness with forgiveness; heal ignorance of God with revelation from God; heal those dead in sin with making them alive in Christ Jesus. Some have damaged their own healing by demanding God to heal on their time table, and thus have pulled away from God to their own remedies and resources and have prolonged their own healing as a result. Jesus came “to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.” (Matthew 4:23) Everything that is broken He can and will heal. Stay in the boat during the process, rather than bailing ship, and not prolong the process by doing more damage. By the way: There are sharks out there, too.
