Business Report Publisher Rolfe McCollister has released the second round of his endorsements for candidates and issues on Saturday’s ballot, including his picks for secretary of state, insurance commissioner and agriculture commissioner, as well as many House and Senate seats, among others. In the hotly contested race for lieutenant governor, McCollister endorses Republican incumbent Jay Dardenne over Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser. However, McCollister notes, he was previously in favor of abolishing the office altogether and is still not convinced it’s needed. See McCollister’s most recent endorsements here. His first round of endorsements—which include his picks for governor, East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff and the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, as well as his views on the five constitutional amendments on the ballot—can be found here.
