Promise Health care expands in B.R.

Promise Healthcare Inc. has opened a fourth Baton Rouge-area long-term acute-care hospital, on Mancuso Lane to serve the Bluebonnet Boulevard-Essen Lane corridor. The 47,860-square-foot, 54-bed facility will serve as Promise’s main campus and administrative headquarters for its hospitals at Ochsner Medical Center, Baton Rouge General and in Gonzales. Promise, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based hospital management corporation, specializes in acute respiratory/pulmonary care, infectious disease management, advanced wound management, complex medical management and post-operative care. Promise has 15 LTAC hospitals in six states, including locations in Ferriday, Shreveport and Vidalia in addition to its Baton Rouge-area campuses.—Steve Clark
