In response to diners’ increased demand for premade meals, Piccadilly is preparing to launch its Piccadilly To Go concept in the Baton Rouge and Memphis markets this summer.

The Baton Rouge-based company first implemented the Piccadilly To Go concept in Jackson, Mississippi, where it says year-over-year sales have since grown by 21% and to go orders now account for roughly a third of all sales.

“We are positioned for growth, and the key is that we’re adapting to our guests’ needs for convenience,” says Piccadilly CEO Azam Malik. “Families want fresh, affordable, homestyle meal options, even though they don’t always have time to shop and cook.”

In Baton Rouge and Memphis, restaurants measuring no larger than 2,000 square feet will offer call in, online and in-person ordering options. The Baton Rouge locations will also feature drive-thru windows.

In addition to Piccadilly To Go, the company is set to debut a new prototype restaurant in Baton Rouge later this year. The menu will offer Piccadilly’s staple comfort foods, as well as healthier options.

Founded in 1944, Piccadilly has 40 restaurants across seven southeastern U.S. states.
