Commercial real estate broker Branden Barker has been named the new general manager of Perkins Rowe.
According to a new release issued today, Barker, formerly of NAI Latter & Blum, is in charge of managing the 711,000-square-foot mixed-use development.
Barker assumed the position on Aug. 15, 15 days after Trademark, a Texas-based real estate company, replaced Stirling Properties as Perkins Rowe’s property manager.
“I’m excited about this opportunity and the future of Perkins Rowe,” Barker says in a statement. “With stable ownership in place and a commitment to this community, Perkins Rowe is definitely on the way to realizing its potential as a lifestyle destination for shopping, dining, living and entertainment.”
Barker is vice chair of the Louisiana Realtors Association’s Commercial Real Estate Committee and regional vice president of the Institute of Real Estate Management. According to the news release, Barker plans for Perkins Rowe to have a more active role in the Baton Rouge community.
Most recently, Perkins Rowe announced plans to host Relief At The Rowe, an on-property event to benefit flood relief efforts through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s House in a Box program.
