As companies increasingly integrate their digital and social media presence into their overall operations strategy, Zehnder Communications has created a new position to better serve clients who are jumping aboard the trend.
The company has promoted Dave Maher, who previously served as director of digital, to chief digital officer, as Business Report details in the new Moving Up section in the current issue.
Maher’s responsibilities include optimizing clients’ efficiency by combining their digital, social and consumer data platforms—along with customer relationship management, research and analysts, and social media—into their current and emerging technologies. He also oversees Zehnder’s internal digital culture and directs the agency’s technology-related projects.
Meanwhile, Community Coffee Co. has hired David Strahl as general manager for innovation. Strahl has more than 20 years of marketing and innovations experience, including developing specialty coffees, teas and consumer goods for Fortune 500 companies. In his new role, Strahl will provide cross-functional leadership in the development of new products and formats. He also will lead the marketing implementation and product rollout strategy to support new initiatives.
