You’ve only got until midnight Friday to submit your application to partake in a live business pitch competition, on par with popular TV show Shark Tank, which will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel. At stake will be at least $125,000, which will come from five regional business owners who will serve as both judges and investors. Five finalists will be selected for the competition, during which each will give a live pitch to the judges and investors—who may choose to fund one, a few, all or none of the ventures. Entrepreneurs and companies interested in taking part in the competition can submit their applications to SeNSE, which is producing the event, here. Those chosen to participate in the live pitch competition will be notified prior to or during the week of Oct. 29. Pitches can be made by entrepreneurs or startups from anywhere, but must be willing to move to the Baton Rouge area should they be chosen and accept funding from an investor wishing to invest locally. The pitch night will be just one of the events taking place in conjunction with Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week, set for Nov. 11-17. You can keep up-to-date with all the BREW news, and the developing list of events, at its website here. BREW is presented by Business Report and Louisiana Technology Park, and is supported by BRAC.
