Baton Rouge-based Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Mississippi-based Field Health System have announced that the two entities have entered into an affiliation agreement to work together.
According to a news release, the agreement does not include a change in ownership, but rather paves the way for greater collaboration and sharing of resources.
“Formalizing the collaborative relationship through this agreement opens opportunities as each of us adapt to the new health care environment. Smart organizations are looking for like-minded partners that share values and commitment to community,” says Chad Netterville, CEO of Field Health System, in a statement. Field Health System provides services to communities surrounding Centreville, Mississippi.
With the agreement, Field Health System will able to utilize OLOL’s supply chain management as a way to drive down costs for patients, payers and employers. The entities also will work together to expand access to services close to Centreville and create a seamless transfer for patients when they need a higher level of care that OLOL can provide in Baton Rouge.
