Chuck Herndon, through SE Storage LLC, purchased several properties on Old Hammond Highway, near O’Neal Lane, in a deal filed with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court yesterday.
Herndon purchased the properties from the Patricia Hidalgo Amoroso, who was represented by Will Adams and Bobby Box, with Property One Inc. They were the only brokers involved in the transaction.
The $200,000 deal included a retail building, which housed a Domino’s Pizza, and a small office building on Old Hammond Highway, across from Old Hammond Cafe.
Once the pizza chain’s lease expires, Adams says a fried chicken restaurant is expected to fill the space.
The fried chicken restaurant owner Hoang Van Phan, who also owns Triplet’s Food Mart in north Baton Rouge, was unable to be reached before the afternoon’s deadline for more details.
The other properties, across the street from the C.B. Pennington Jr. YMCA, were purchased for $260,000 and includes a duplex and several storage units that flooded in August 2016.
Herndon plans to repair the storage units and bring them back into the market, Adams says. Herndon declined to comment on this story.
