Office Depot has applied for a building permit to turn an empty Ace Hardware store into its sixth Baton Rouge store. According to papers filed with the city-parish permit department, the office supplier plans to spend $200,000 remodeling the 15,500-square-foot store in the Bluebonnet Village Shopping Center. The space at the corner of Bluebonnet Boulevard and Perkins Road has been empty for nearly two years.
