A study released today by HealthGrades, an independent source for physician information and hospital quality outcomes, names Ochsner Medical Center and Ochsner Medical Center-West Bank Campus among the Best 100 Hospitals in the U.S. in four specialties. Ochsner is the only hospital in Louisiana among the Best 100 nationwide for stroke care, gastrointestinal care, critical care and pulmonary care. Overall, Ochsner achieved 19 Five-Star Ratings, six Specialty Excellence Awards and seven Best in State rankings. Ochsner achieved No. 1 state rankings for overall cardiac services, cardiology services, stroke treatment, overall pulmonary services, gastrointestinal services, gastrointestinal medical treatment and critical care.
